Find a good realtor to work with! Foreclosed homes only really become available to purchase once the bank lists them with a realtor. There are other options, though, that a good realtor will know about, such as short sale properties and other distress sales that you may want to take advantage of as well. A lot of times Short Sales provide an even better option. And, since the seller typically pays the real estate commission, their services are FREE to you! Talk about a bargain!

Get a 3-day free trial membership on http://www.foreclosureradar.com . Don't forget to cancel it before the 3 days is up!

Go on Craigslist under the real estate section and see the numerous ads offering free foreclosure lists...and know that it is an effort of a real estate agent to gain you as client.

Talk to friends in your area who have used a realtor they like and has done good work from them and call that realtor.

Good luck!
