Your local Realtor can let you know how long it has been on the market -- (how long it has been in the multiple). The MLS has good records of market history.

It's hard to tell if the seller had been trying to sell their house prior to posting it in the multiple listing service.

That is a relevant question to ask and should be answered by a local real estate professional.

Perhaps the home has just come on the market and is priced right or priced high or priced low.

Perhaps the home has been on the market for sometime i.e. longer than 30 days and it is at the same price when it first entered the market or there might have been price ajustments since then.

Information is very different from knowledge.

Call your real estate professional today! Be sure to interview several and choose the one whom you believe is the most trustfull, knowledgeble and comfortable to represent your interest.

All the best!

We are going to need a bit more information to be helpful. Please let us know the address and/or the MLS number so that a local agent can respond and be of assistance.
