Good location for out of state move into Cypress? Is there a recommended area with good schools were there is a high rate of out of state movers?

Asked by Sweenyjan, Cypress, TX Wed Mar 6, 2013

I've been reading all the posts about all the people trying to figure out where to go in Cypress. I can see on sites like "Great Schools" what the stats are on schools but beyond that I am confused. We will be looking for a house in the 200,000 to 250,000 range and I'm wondering if there is an area where people from out of state seem to be moving. Right now my kids are in a charter school in AZ with children from all over the world and we think this is really cool. Are there any areas in Cypress or even Katy with this same feel?

I just ranked the Top 28 communities in the Cypress area a few weeks ago on my CyFairRealEstate website based on schools, amenities, and sales analytics.

The top 5 neighborhoods according to those criteria on my list were:

1) Bridgeland
2) Fairfield
3) Coles Crossing
4) Longwood Village
5) Cypress Creek Lakes

I have done quite a few video reviews about area neighborhoods over the past couple of years, too, which you might find helpful.

Please feel free to call my mobile if you have any questions at 713-4446-1018.

Best of luck with your search!

You have some great information here and behind some of the post. But I would like to add a couple of more links that will help bridge some of this information together.

Go to (all of us realtors are members of). For the consumer, you can still find some great information. Look under the drop down for "Schools" and the drop down for "Neighborhoods". You will see the zip code map so you can see where Cypress 77433 & 77429 is in relation to other areas such as Katy, the Woodlands, Sugarland, Spring. You will also see the school rankings. This will help you as you start narrowing down what area you may want to live. There are several great school districts and even in the best school districts, each will have some schools better than others. But the school information will help you. With that and the information others have posted, you should be off to a good start in your research.

My family of 6 just moved to Bridgeland last summer and absolutely love it! The new elementary school opens in the neighborhood this fall and the Middle and High School are very close also. Amenities are exceptional, so many conveniences and neighborhood activities/clubs. We have decided to start hunting for a larger home in the same neighborhood as we know this is where we want to stay long term. We have not placed our home on the market yet but it will be priced around the $230,000 mark for 4 br/2.5 ba 2500 sq feet. Happy to send info if you would like. Also, there is a Bridgeland Facebook page if you want to check out current events. Good luck!

HI There!

I would reccommend a neighborhood like Bridgeland, Cypress Creek Lakes, Towne Lakes, or Black Horse Ranch. All are zoned to great schools, and would fit your budget. In Katy, I would reccommend anything in the Cinco Ranch area. My partner, Randall Martin, and I specialize in relocations, and have relocated people from all over the country. We'd love to help! Let us know if you have any other questions. Talk to you soon...V
