Getting a home with bad credit and no job history?

Asked by hm_66442, Bakersfield, CA Sun Dec 2, 2012

I want to buy a home, it'd be much easier then renting but i dont have a good history because i was a stay at home mom before my divorce. I am currently working and have a relatively high child support and alimony (3000). And I just got a job on top of that. I am able to make payments and I can get good feedback from the person I am currently renting from. If theres any chance I can get a loan, let me know.

I would start by reaching out to a mortgage broker to find out what type of loan you would qualify for. They will review your financial ratios, income, funds, etc. Good luck!
