Finding a realtor familiar with SONYMA Mortgages.. Difficult?

Asked by BrooklyntoIslandFirstTimers, New York Wed Jan 30, 2013

My husband and I want to purchase our first home; single family house in Nassau/ Suffolk Counties. A SONYMA Mortgage was suggested to us. We meet the income requirements. We know we must do the 1st time home buyers course, and meet with a lender( we saw Chase & M&T bank processed the most applications for this type of loan).

Is it difficult finding a realtor familiar with this loan? I know we don't want to deal with the sellers realtor as they are more for the seller than the buyer.
