I don't know but as a fellow veteran I can tell you that you willl be surprised at the many sellers who don't want anything to do with the veterans loans.

But I was lucky enough to get an FHA loan here in the midwest with a score of 548 in 2006 believe it or not! Just get yourself a good mortgage company.

Generally speaking, YES. Please keep in mind it isn't all about a score. There are other factors.
I will attach a link to 3 independent lenders so you can call one of your liking.

YES , the Va will consider this through the lender. A higher debt to income ratio is also acceptable.

I think yes, but please check out:

Extra Benefits are available through them.

Let me know if I can help you.

I've place 2 veterans in homes this year in Loma Linda.
The problem with VA loans:
they have to be move in ready
Seller has to be willing to pay closing costs

That elimates most of the housing on the market, such as short sales and REO's.

New Builder Homes, Standard sales and Standard Sale Flips are a good option for you.

Please give me a call for a list of homes. 909 886 2543

There is no minimum score for a VA loan...with a 780 could get denied (because their debt to income ratio is too high). I can help with a myriad of lenders to work with. Call me, i'll work with you. (909) 335 8694.

Stacey --

VA has no minimum FICO requirement. Some lenders, however, impose their own "overlays" that require a minimum FICO score.

Please contact me. We have lenders that we work with every day who can get you qualified. It pays to "shop" lenders -- what one lender will do, is not necessarily what another lender will do.

We work with buyers, and enable them to find homes. That's what we do! I'll look forward to talking with you about how we can help.

Hi Stacey, we would have no problem qualifying anyone with VA eligibility with a middle score of 687. Obviously, the income needs to qualify for the loan amount and resulting monthly mortgage payment that is being sought but the credit score is no problem. Happy to help anytime if you would like. When do you want to move in?
