Drive the neighborhoods and look.
Ask people walking around what they think.
Park your car and see if anyone notices you sitting in your car.
Walk around and talk to those who are in the neighborhood.
Interview the local principal, coaches, convenience store employees, police getting coffee, ....
There is a lot you can do for yourself.
I would also contact a local real estate professional to save time and money.
