There is a couple who has a contract to purchase a home. This sale was suppose to take place in March but right before the closing, the seller said they could not close until June 6 because she would loose some of her tax credit money. The buyers agreed to wait. Just before closing date in June, one of the buyers was hospitalized for a blood disorder. They have her on chemo, other medications, and pain medicine. The sellers where to purchase a home on the 7th. The buyer is still hospitalized and medicated and does not feel like doing any real estate transactions while in hospital but the sellers are insisting it be closed by Friday. The buyer is unable to even have visitors because of low to no immune system at moment because of chemo. Can buyers be made to complete this transaction or lose earnest money if there is a medical reason ?
