Considering Retiement in Tucson

Asked by Paul Kolaski, 60070 Tue Jan 22, 2008

We have heard Tucson is a good place to retire. We are looking for a private community setting (golf, gated, etc). Would prefer to build but would consider a home less than three years old. Know little about area would appreciate any information.

Hy Paul: Thank you for your question and please come to my web site or e-mail me at or I can send you a re-location package if you would like.
Most certainly a window for a Buyers market, as you may already be aware of Paul. I do have a prime spittable 9;55 acre parcel , although not gated, in the NW Oro Valley area with an abundance of golf courses close by , near all amenities , great schools, newer hospital on Tangerine. But again, please contact me or come to my web site and browse and am here for you and your family with 20+ years of Negotiating experience for You, Sincerely, Lucill CRS ABR Realtor 520-275-1000

I'm jumping in a bit late, but just read an interesting article on the subject of retirement in Tucson. The article was published on Yahoo Finance.

Here's a link to my blog which has a link to the article:

Hi Paul:
I am from the northwest and moved to Tucson. Great place to live. There are several gated communities and active retirement communities available. New construction is also very available.
Please check out my website for information about Tucson and I also have home search capabilities without the hassle of "sign in" first

Look forward to hearing from you soon

Hi Paul,

Glad to hear you're considering a move to Tucson! There are many gated golf communities that may fit your criteria such as Ventana Canyon Lake Estates, La Paloma, Heritage Highlands, Casas de Oros, or Skyline Country Club Estates.

I see you noted that you would "prefer to build." I can provide you with a list of available to-build lots in several spectacular communities and current home listings in several other golf communities (in addition to the few I mentioned). In addition I'll send you a free Tucson information package as well as provide valuable relocation resources to use if you do end up moving here.

If you'd like more information feel free to get in touch!
