Clevelanders retire to NC; how's the weather in Charlotte? Much snow?

We do have four very distinct seasons here in Charlotte-which is definitely one of the things that makes this area so attractive to relocating folks. We get about an inch or two of snow a year. Ice storms are more prevalent-we seem to get a nasty one every other year or so, and yes, the entire city shuts down! We're just not equipped to handle it since it's not an everyday thing. So you'll laugh at us, but it's true that your presence is required at the local grocery store to stock up on supplies as soon as the weather folks CALL for snow or ice. =)

Takes me back to my decades in Maryland when people ran out for toilet paper and milk at the first hint snow was on the way lol. Thanks Leigh!
