We are a young(ish) Canadian couple 40y/o from Calgary, AB looking into purchasing a property in Sedona. Initially we will use the place for 2-3 weeks a year, and put it to use as a vacation rental the rest of the time. The long-term plan is to use this as a winter destination for 3-4 months of the year. Requirements are 1) good location with excellent views (similar to MLS #116267) 2) preferably a town-home or condo (that allows vacation rentals) for security and low maintenance 3) priced around $400,000 or less 4) fairly modern interior or recent renovations. Are these realistic criteria given the current market situation? Speaking of the market in Sedona; from what I've read there seems to be several years supply of homes on the market. Is this true? The property will be purchased via a Canadian-registered corporation; are there any special considerations around this?
