Of course you can. It does depend on what city, and type of home you want. Inventory is somewhat limiited, but the answer none-the-less is "yes"..

You definitely can buy a home on the Peninsula for under $1M today. I have personally sold this year 5 homes that were just in that category. Are you looking for a specific area on the Peninsula? How many bedrooms and baths? There are so many variables that narrowing the search is so much more productive. I would be more than happy to assist you in any way I can so please feel free to contact me.

Yes, but you better be contractor. Just kidding. Homes are available in all cities of the Peninsula (except Hillsborough) for under 1 million dollars. My question for you is what type of home are you looking for (SQF, beds, baths, etc.)? If I better understand what you're looking for I can tell you the reality of you finding the home you want and the best place to begin you're search. Contact anyone of us answering this question for more information. Thanks!

Absolutely! I am always looking for opportunities to move to the Peninsula and I have seen many, many homes on the market on the Peninsula below $1M mark. I would say the starting point for an acceptable home on the Peninsula (no fixer uppers) would be in the $700s. The home won't be the biggest or the most luxurious on the block, but it'll be a great home to start out with in a safe, lovely neighborhood I'm sure. If you are wondering about specific cities, I found multiple listings in San Bruno, Daly City, South San Francisco, San Mateo, San Carlos, among others. Good luck in your search if you are indeed looking.

yes, but you are more likely to be able to get a condo or townhome than a single family. I did a quick search and there are just over 50 SFH under $1.0m right now on the peninusla, but if you include condos/townhomes, etc. there are well over 200 to choose from.

You sure can. Redwood City, San Carlos, Mountain View. Nearly every city on the Peninsula still has a a few homes in that price range. They're all gonna be 999k fixers!
