You can purchase your home with little down payment!
In St. Petersburg, all you need is *$1,000 to purchase a home at $100,000
In Pinellas Park, Clearwater and Largo, all you need is *$2,000 to purchase a home at $100,000

Yes, absolutely. We have Bond Money available from the State of Florida, up to $7,500. Also Pasco County is one of the best run downpayment assistance programs (far better than Hillsborough). You MUST take a first time homebuyer class so I would suggest doing that FIRST, here is info:

http://fl-pascocounty.civicplus.com/DocumentCenter/View/8243

If your income is too high to qualify for the Pasco County program, you may still qualify for the State Bond Program:

http://apps.floridahousing.org/StandAlone/FTHBWizard/FTHBWiz…

You MUST work with an APPROVED lender on both of these programs and not many lenders will participate because it limits the profits because the charges will be disallowed. Here is a very experienced loan officer and she has helped some of my clients get this money:

Hope this helps!

All the best,

Melissa,
Yes you can..
But should you?

If your finances are so strained that you can not save or FIND a few thousand dollars for a downpayment, what are you going to do with the taxes go UP. And your home owners insurance goes UP! And your health care costs go UP!

Consider this decison carefully. Many can profit from a bad decions you may make.
Has recent history taught us nothing?

Yes, there are several loans available with no or little down payment. However, there is certain criteria that needs to be met.
Check out my blog here on Trulia to learn more about the homepath program:
http://www.trulia.com/blog/dannybarto/2013/03/ready_to_buy_a…

Or, follow the link below to the GalleonProperties.com website to read more.

There is also, FHA which requires 3.5% down minimum or a USDA loan which allows for 0% down.
You can research each program to see if it fits your needs.

Best of luck finding your first home!
