This question was asked January 31, 2012... Most of the answers are from that timeframe.
Why does it keep popping up as if Xman is looking for answers still?

Does Trulia look for current messages or keep them all active forever?

Does Trulia vet the questions or ads?

Worth pondering...

Oops! The website below the Soils engineer's contact info is not affiliated with the engineer. He's my son and a very experience foundation and drainage expert. He spent years working for my construction company before starting his on company over 10 years ago. Good luck.

I've worked with these folks a number of times over the years. I'm not sure why you need a soils engineer. Generally they come in on the front on new construction projects. Or they are often used for drainage, erosion and foundation related issues.

If it is a drainage, soil erosion or foundation issue the soils engineer will do a field study and come up with his recommendations to correct those issues. If the soils problem is impacting your home (structure) you will also need a good civil and/or structural engineer to perform the same service for you on those issues.

When and if they come up with any repair or retrofit recommendations keep us in mind. We've been dealing with those type of repair issues for 25 years and have done hundreds of drain systems and foundation retrofits. Take a moment to check out our websites below.

Here's the contact info for one of the oldest and best established soils engineering firms in San Diego.

I would check with your local Soil and Water Conservation District or possibly the Farm Service Agency in your county. They may know someone. The man I know is on the east coast.
