Can a husband apply for fha loan by himself?

Yes he can. A spouse in AL is not required to be on a mortgage. To qualify for an FHA mortgage, only your husband's income can be used if you are not on the mortgage as well. HUD does allow a spouse to be on title but not on the mortgage.
