A home I am interested in have a rental tenant in it presently. Through the grapevine the tenant wants to take the very nice front door, fixtures, appliances, etc when the house is sold. If he does this after closing isn't this illegal? I have heard that the seller would need to replace everything but what is to stop him from replacing an $800 door with a budget $100 one? I am wondering how I could avoid this?
