Between Ryan Homes, Drees Homes, & Maronda Homes, has anyone had any significant experience with either one? Good or Bad.

We do not have Drees in Columbus. However, I've worked with both Ryan and Maronda. Ryan builds a better home than does Maronda. But, like everything, you get what you pay for. I'd say that's probably true for all (3), even if I don't know who Drees is.

In my opinion, Ryan and Drees build good average homes at reasonable prices. Maronda Homes, on the other hand, are in a different league, especially because they specialize in energy efficient homes. They do not build 0-energy homes (that's Potter Hill Homes) but do a very good job of limiting energy expenses for their buyers and doing good for the environment. Check their web site for those features if they are important to you.

I Have had experience with all of the above! I would say that Drees might be a slightly better quality home, but that would be ever so slightly. Maronda & Ryan are decent, especially in the lower price ranges. It would depend on your price range. If you were searching in the $300,000 + range, I would consider a Drees, Fisher, Dixon or some custom builder. Those builders don't build much less than that price point. For a new home, MI, Ryan, Maronda are solid homes for under $250,000. There are some amenities you won't find in many existing homes, in that price range, with those builders. There are many things to consider, I would recommend sitting down & having a consultation with a Realtor & then touring the various models in your price range, determine their quality, then determine which floorplan would best suit your needs based upon your budget. I would be happy to assist you, feel free to contact me for a consultation.

I am a Market Manager for Drees Homes. Most of the new homes I sell are around $200,000, a lot of first time home buyers. I have worked for a competitor in the past, hands down Drees Homes build a better house. Almost all local builders offer a 1 year warranty on the entire home. We believe so much in how we build our new homes that we also offer a 10 year structural warranty. If you would like some additional information about Drees Homes and our communities please feel free to call, text or e-mail me anytime! Thank you!
