Areas with the best value in the DC Metro area.

Asked by Armason Lewis, Washington, DC Wed Feb 18, 2009

I am interested in purchasing a home in the DC metro area. Houses in the city have left a lot to be desired in terms of value. I have concerns about too long of a commute. What area(s) in the metro area provides the best value considering time of commute, cost of the home, and size of the home etc.?

Mr. Wilson,

Value is like worth in that each can mean different things to different people. You should ask yourself what you value most in a home. It sounds like your commute is important to you. Start with where you work and go from there. Each quadrant of DC has appeal depending on your needs. I'd be happy to chat with about your search. Feel free to call me tomorrow or write me whenever.

Thanks,
