Areas to buy condos in Florida, anyone have ideas?

Asked by Randa, Fri May 16, 2008

I just wanted to know where the best place is to invest in a condo and EASILY rent it out with an annual lease. I am looking for an area with some attractions. night life, the beach near by and of course a great price. I know there are many foreclosures and pre-foreclosures but I don't know where to start looking with my under $100K budget. Anyone recommend Port St Lucie as good area? I also looked at Miami Beach but you don't get much property for the price range I'm looking for. Also don't know if it's easy to rent out studios or 1 bedroom condos in Miami beach.

I have heard good things about Venice as well. Supposedly great deals to be found also.

We applaud you for taking the initiative to gather this kind of information prior to making you investment. The information you need to target is identifying locations that have a high annual need for rental property. There are a few that come to mind immediately-Orlando, Miami, Venice, are good examples.

Additionally, you should consider the "quality of life" the area offers. There are many, many communities that have beautiful condos in your price range but fall short in the major areas of interest for renters: climate, safety, social & cultural opportunity, easy to get around, proximity to beaches, shopping, public transportation, etc. etc.

The Venice area has been recently recognized as one of the "Top areas to Relocate" in the entire country because it offers people an experience that keeps them coming back.

We would be happy to provide you additional information on this proven location that many people refer to as "Paradise."

Good luck,
