Are there any properties that would consider 6 month leases?

Probably not and if they do they will charge a higher rental amount, since they will have to do another make ready in a short period of time.

This will potentially be apartments in most cases, not homes. On homes you might can find 6month lease, but typically the price goes up significantly if we can find one.
Two short term leases I know about this week were about double the rate that would happen on a one year often it is just a matter of pricing.

Can you go to apartment or extended stay hotel? That might be significantly less than a house.

Occasionally but not frequently. Six month leases are incredibly difficult to find. Landlords bear expenses every time a property turns over, including but not limited to a typical month's vacancy time, so it is usually not in their best interest to incur those expenses twice rather than once annually. Most people looking for 6 month leases end up in apartment complexes that can more easily deal with vacancy lost rent, property cleaning, lock changing and other property code requirements in order to lease to a new tenant.
