You can contact a apartment location company to help you with this question and look for areas around Austin that will suite your needs.

Good Luck, buy the way, why rent when you can buy and have a similar monthly payment? Let me know if you need help with your search.

There are many downtown, like John wrote before me. The apartments that focus more on students are mainly near UT or ACC campuses.

If you would like for me to run a search for you, i'd be happy to and then we can weed out the ones you are not interested in until we find the one that fits your needs. I am sure we can find one that you would be happy with.

Have a good weekend.

Many. Think DT Austin, for example. Mix of professionals (more young than old), folks looking to take advantage of the lifestyle. Same in other areas. Suggest avoiding areas serving campuses (UT, ACC).

Good luck!
