Laurie,
The majority of homes that are selling in King William county are going for under the county assessed value. This seems to be because the county is still using the assessed value from a few years ago and have not adjusted their values in today's market. With that being said, there are a few homes that may sell for assessed value or even a little higher because of improvements made or additions added to them where the county does not have the correct square footage, etc.
