The best way is to go and get you a real estate agent and let that person cut through all the red tape for you and all they have to do is pick up the phone or visit the office and get the information.

If a condo, coop or house is listed with realtors, a realtor in that particular MLS system could get that information for you. Or, once the property is sold, the deed is recorded with the county - but that takes a few months to be recorded - and that is public information.
