Hello,

The two most popular active adult communities in the Triangle are Carolina Preserve(Sold Out) and Carolina Arbors. Both are Del Webb communities and have or will have over 1000 homes in each neighborhood. In Active Adult communities it's all about the lifestyle and location and that is why these two communities are so popular. I have specialized in Active Adult Communities for several years and know all of the communities from Chapel Hill to Wak Forest.

Others have already mentioned homes in Cary and Raleigh, but Wake Forest has a great community too. Here is the link to that community http://www.cornerstonehomes.net/wake-forest/

Our area of expertise is Port St. Lucie, Florida. One of our team members lives in a 55 Plus Community that matches this criteria, and is well versed in the other 2 in West Port St. Lucie that also meet your criteria. All are gated with HOA, and they are each uniquely different from the others. They each have a lot to offer and I would recommend any of them to those buying in the Port St. Lucie areas of St. Lucie West or Tradition. Best of luck to you. By the way, NC is a beautiful state!

There are some great areas for seniors in Cary & Raleigh, NC. Carolina Preserve is definitely one of the best in Cary and they are building the same type of 55+ community in Raleigh at Brier Creek. There are over 200 different clubs to choose from at Carolina Preserve plus a very plush clubhouse and a HUGE indoor swimming pool! You can also visit the other 2 outdoor pools in the community if you have family visiting that are more kid friendly.

There is also Heritage in Cary but it offers less amenities than the Preserve.

Email or call me and I will send you some great communities to check out! I am a native to the area and know the best places to live depending on your criteria! You will love it here!!

Joan,

I have closed a few loans at the Carolina Preserve at Amberly. This is a very nice place.
I would love to help with your financing and I can give you my Realtor that knows about the area.

Thank you,

There was a report on Radio that the most desirable places to live for Seniors is Villages in Florida!! It's a senior community with tons of activity geared for active seniors including a golf cart parade!
