Agents/Brokers with brokers? Why?

Asked by Angie, 90262 Tue Jul 22, 2008

had a question. We are pre-qualified so we do not have to get approved for another mortgage, and we're not trying to! What could be going on?

Angie, a real estate agent that is also a mortgage broker could be a bad situation for you. Having your loan approval and purchase involve one person is a conflict of intrerest for you (as you're finding). Stick with your lender of choice, and let the real estate agent know that you're set for finance, but would like assistance with locating a home...only. If they are resistant, find another real estate agent.

Welcome to Trulia, good question hope you will find our professional answers a benefit for you.

Easier for the client, as a real estate agent or mortgage broker you develop a team our focus is get your file closed on time. I am a Dallas real estate agent, Dallas home mortgage loan officer, I usually work with one preferred title company. I have a mortgage broker/partner where could be talking about your file at 11 pm on Saturday night Some brokers only work 8 - 5 not interested in the off hours which make my work easy for you.
