Absolutely, the homeowner needs to continue to maintain the house and property until the sale has recorded. If your daughter is doing a walk thru then the seller has agreed to allow her access to the house for that purpose. If there is a snowstorm that prohibits access it is the seller's responsibility to remedy the situation. Also, if there was a situation that someone was injured on the property proir to closing it would be the homeowner's responsibility ie...the current owner. ... more
