That condo complex is called Country Club Hawaii. The property is a leasehold condo that has a master lease that expires March 14th 2015. Typically the condo/maintenance fees for a unit of that size is $595 per month (all utilities are included in the monthly amount). There have been 5 condo sales this year in that complex, with sale prices in the $5-8,000 range depending on condition, size and view. Currently there are 7 units for sale (ranging in price from $4,500 to $25,000.

We have both fee-simple and leasehold condos through out our Island, with fee-simple condos starting at $49,000 (2bed 1 bath 660sq ft). There are currently over 300 condos for sale on the Big Island that are fee-simple.

Mahalo for your question. This property is no longer on the market. There are though 67 condos for sale in the Hilo "area", 7 of those similar in size to the Wainaku property. Because this website (Trulia) gets it property listings "second hand", the information is quite often not current.

Aloha, Paul. Congratulations on the purchase of your new home! Sometimes these services simply don't get into the level of detail with location as we're used to on the Big Island. I believe Umauma is located in TMK 3-2, which is the North Hilo district, and because it's zip code is the same as Hilo, many computer-based services will see your property as part of "Hilo." I have the same thing where I live - I'm in Puako, which is about 15 miles from Kamuela, but because we are in the same zip as Kamuela, that's where most computer programs "place" us.
