It appears that the property you are interested to is in foreclosure status on Trulia. Trulia is a platform for consumers to browse housing information as well as a tool for home owners and agents to list their properties. If a listing is foreclosure or not, it is up to the listing owner to update the status of that property. The status of the listing is unclear to us because it is in the hands of the listing owner.

Sharanda, we recommend that you contact a local Realtor. The web is a great place to start, but if you're ready to buy, it's time to find yourself a Realtor for life. Browse under the agent directory to find a well reviewed Realtor. Realtors adhere to a strict code of ethics, which offers you consumer protection and piece of mind. Rates are low and FHA had relaxed on their pmi, so now is a great time. Find a Realtor and make 2015 the year you bought a home! ... more

Annette Lawrence answered:
Your viable options depend on your intent.
Are you seeking an investment?
Are you seeking shelter?

Are you paying cash?
Are you buying with the money of someone else? (a common investor trick)

What is the situation of the subject property?

Or you can pond on the front door and ask, "Is this house for sale?"
They will ask, "How much you offering?"
You will start blabbering and the door will be slammed closed.

Identifying the portal of access will prove important to getting your offer heard. Knowing the area values will establish authority. Insight into their situation will get reception.

Some find the resources of a real estate professional invaluable in creating the correct message and offer for 'Off Market' real estate.

Best of success,

That is a complicated process. My question is why would you want to make an offer on a house you have never seen? My recommendation is to arrive in the US, contact a real estate professional who can show you the house and then, if you like it, assist you in making an offer. best of luck! ... more

Thanks Murray. Yes I am familiar with those. I also know that cities like Newark and Irvington offer such programs. Tried to call Hillside and couldn't get anyone on the phone so I came here. Thanks again.

Jenet Levy answered:
There are laws about real estate agents guiding people to or away from particular neighborhoods/communities. I would suggest you visit communities that interest you. See how you feel in them. See what services they have. Check with the police precincts about crime rates. Check out the ratings of the schools. Do some research online about happenings in the area, cultural and otherwise. Then decide what community is a good match for you. Then a local realtor of that community can help you find a home in your preferred neighborhood.

Hope this helps.
