To answer that question it really depends on what you are looking for, which isnt mentioned. There are a lot of newer communities in southern gilbert that are near parks, gated, etc.

The downside to southern gilbert is its very rural so you have to drive to go any place. There's also plenty of vacant land so i dont expect home prices to go up much down there as itll take a decade to build out all the land.

I live in northern gilbert which is next to downtown. Im a 5 min walk from a frys/shopping center. Rarely do i drive i can walk to a park, etc. Its very metro i like it a lot better. Theres very little vacant land so i suspect my house price will go up more than the new houses built down south.
