That home accroding to the tax records and the MLS system sold last in August of 2007 for $90,000. If you are looking for a comparable or to see if the home has increased or lost value; going back that far on time will not give an accurate account.

we do not know what was done prior to it selling, post selling or how old the items in the hosue are now....it was also a significantly differnet market in 2007 than it is now in 2013.

The non-answers people give just amaze me. The Holly Hills neighborhood (in Hickory Ridge area) is a hidden gem. By today's standards, the lots are huge. The neighborhood is filled with massive, mature trees. Birds and squirrels are abundant. I once saw my neighborhood described "like living in a national forest" which I found very fitting. For the price, the homes are also huge. Our neighborhood is very eclectic with some white, some black, some hispanic residents. Wal-Mart, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Food Lion are all within five minutes (a couple miles) of our home, it takes about seven minutes to get to I-485 and is a quick, easy commute to uptown.

Yes, unfortunately, there are those "investors" who have bought and rented homes to people who just don't care. However, there are also many long-time, hard-working homeowners. We are the "newbies" in our section, having purchased our home six years ago; the neighbors on all four sides of us were here long before that.

Occasionally you will hear a car passing with loud music or teens walking down the street yelling at each other, but much more commonplace is hearing the faint hum of neighbors lawnmowers and / or birds chirping.

Crime? I would say isolated and less than typical. About five years ago there was a rash of game systems being stolen. However, in the six years we have lived here, our home has never been broken into nor has anything been stolen from our vehicles. Even if I am home alone, I do not fear for my safety if I'm sitting outside on the porch after dark or leaving the house late at night.
