Where do you live? It would definitely depend on what city and the city ordinances or neighborhood CC&R's.

Hi Linda,

There is something for everyone in the High Desert.
What are you looking for in a home?
Each City is a little different and offers a little something that the other one doesn't.
I picked my home because it was close to my husbands work, not too far from my church, it had a wonderful view and I can't hear the next door neighbors. So working with an agent that knows the area is important. We do have afternoon breezes that keep the air clean but can be bothersome.
We have sunsets that are magnificent. We have out door recreation opportunities and many cultural opportunities as well. Many of my friends participate in local theater and musical performances. If you are looking for a place that has the feel of a smaller town with the advantages of bring not far from many things, come on up.

You picked a great time to move here since home prices are low as well as interest rates. I grew up here and raised my family here. We have lived in Hesperia, Apple Valley and Oak Hills. I think Hesperia has some of the best schools around. The shopping areas are more spread out than you might be used to but I think you will find it a small sacrifice in order to raise your family here.

Yes, there are some bad areas but you have bad areas in any city you live in. It's best if you go with someone who has experience in living and doing business in the area. If you have any other questions, you can privately email me at Love2listyou@yahoo.com ... more
