Im looking in the Herndon, Reston, Sterling, and fairfax areas with no luck. I've even written to a couple of different agents who didn't bother to write back.

Syed,

I am happy to help you find an apartment. I did a quick search and came across these 3 listings...

Unfortunately, there is nothing in Herndon that matches the criteria you mention. Please give me a call so we can discuss these properties as well as other important information. My number is 703-307-3449.

Sincerely,

Hello Justine,

I live in Herndon and would love to talk with you to discuss additional details of your desired place to live.

I can set you up with a search account that will come into your inbox so you can see what is available! You can change the search as needed as much as you like! Very user friendly.

Credit is a major concern when it comes to owners offering their properties for rent. I have suggestions if it is not stellar though, so don't worry.

Please contact me at your earliest convenience so we can make your transition a smooth one!

Best Regards,
Jeanne Little

Check out Tyson's Glen. They have a dog park in the back, plus a shuttle to the orange line at West Falls Church. I have been here 2 years, and the apartments and grounds are nice. We've never had a mouse or a bug! ... more

Hi Colins - I wanted to make one additional point so you don't get a nasty surprise if you have not rented previously in this area. The process of renting in this area depends heavily on whether or not you have good credit (I'm assuming you have sufficient employment and good prior rental history). If you have credit below about 650 (approximate), then the best way will be to search on your own on Craig's List. You'll have better luck if you can speak directly with the owner about the reasons contributing to your credit score or you may run into an owner that doesn't check your credit. If you are going with a property that is listed by a property manager, it will be difficult with a lower credit score because most of them have cutoffs that they have to follow in order to reduce liability for lawsuits.

Most apartments have lower requirements for credit score and lower security deposit requirements so could be a good option for you depending on your circumstances.

Best of luck with your search!

Thanks,
Sonal
