Your question is too general, I would suggest that you work with a local realtor to assist you.

Eric, have you considered Hallvsville? It has a highly rated school district, is small, close to I-20...yet is only 10-15 minutes from excellent healthcare in Longview. In fact, it is halfway between Marshall and Longview. If you'd like to email me, I will happily send you good choices in Hallsville, Marshall and Henderson. I would want to know your desired price range as well, and whether you want move-in ready or are willing to upgrade a bit if necessary. I'd love to help you find your next home! (Sellers pay the realtor through commission, so buyers' representation is not only free for you, but it is essential for the best transaction)

I have a home that we just decided to put up for sale. It is a 2story, built in the 30s. It has 4 bdrms, 2 bath, living, dining (small, more of and extra space room between living-den-kitchen), den. LOTS of windows. We would like to move into a little more of a country setting for our boys to cut loose. Hard for them to get out in the neighborhood with traffic. If you are intersted, I can give you info to contact us. ... more

Hi Atrant,
If you are going to be living in the area for 5-10 years I would suggest buying. Rentals are pretty high and often times hard to find something nice.
If you have good credit and can qualify for a loan, it always makes more sense to buy. You just need to buy right ... which means buying something that is in high demand at the right price. If you care to send me an email I can email you properties available in the area. Have you considered Tyler? Lindale is also a great area for re-sale because of the school district which is highly rated. Let me know if I can help.

Hello Jaquitta,
Our office in Henderson carries a list of people who have rentals. I would also look up the Chamber of Commerce for the other areas and see if they can help you.
To contact our office please call and ask for the “Rental List” and we can forward you the information. Currently I do not know of anyone that will rent to own, only rent.
I hope this helps you, Jackie Mills
