Hello Erica,

I used to live in Castro Valley in the Five Canyons neighborhood built by Centex for several years. I can tell you that it is a very good neighborhood as is Palomares Hills built by Shapel Homes. The schools are excellent in most of Castro Valley, but the schools in Hayward are not that great although you the homes in Hayward Hills including Stonebrae, Bailey Ranch are beautiful. You certainly have views from homes in both Castro Valley and Hayward especially the neighborhoods I have mentioned above.

We later moved to Pleasanton and I can assure you that Pleasanton is also a very beautiful City with so much going on in downtown with awesome restaurants, farmers market, shopping, etc. The Alameda Fairgrounds is in Pleasanton and we look forward to the happenings there.

I would be happy to help you find a home with a view if you are still in the market.
By the way I just realized after finishing this answer that I had already answered your question in 2012. As you can see, I talked about Castro Valley but have since moved to Pleasanton.

Also I want to add that the price of the home is about $1.04 million. The main reason why I am still interested/undecided about the property is that it seemed like a reasonably good deal (size of the home/brand new) but I'm still really unsure about how significant those environmental factors from the disclosure may be? ... more

Hi,

At this time, unfortunately, we currently do not have listings for rent to own homes. You may try your luck though and search our website using the Keyword section of the search filter which can be found in the All Filters button. However, these listings are extremely rare.

Please follow these steps to begin your home search:

1. Click the "Rent' tab at the top of our homepage.
2. Enter your desired city and state in the search bar and hit Enter.
3. Click 'Max Price' to select what your highest price would be to pay for a home. Click 'Min Price' to set the lowest price you would pay.
4. Click 'More Filters'.
5. Select your preferred property type, square footage, etc.
6. Click the red 'Apply' button.

This will begin to pull up listings that are more tailored to what you are looking for.

If you are interested in a listing, click on the "Contact the agent" button to get in touch with a real estate professional in your area. You can also take advantage of our vast network of agents here:

We hope your experience with Trulia is memorable and thank you for using Trulia for all your real estate needs.

For future reference, you can feel free to contact us about this type of inquiry through our contact form here:

I don't care where you are, that is something you should ALWAYS get inspected. Do not gamble with the plumbing! Repairs can get expensive quickly if you have any sort of drain related problems. Those are not something you want to find out about after you've purchased a home! ... more

Manufactured homes can be incredibly hard to finance. Maybe not for everyone, but for some which will limit your market pool upon resell thus lowering value since desire is lower. I am doing a loan for a property in santa clara for $460k sales price. 3 bedroom, seems like a good price to me

Are you trying to see how much you can purchase for? It is better to get approved for a loan first so that you know exactly how much you can qualify rather then looking at home in an area that you think you can qualify for.

Any Title company will do a double closing David. There are many people that are selling one home and then buying another one after another.
Good luck with your transaction.
