Hayward is a desirable location for commuters and also reasonable on price when compared to Fremont. What kind of a house your daughter is looking for?

This i a really general question and hard to answer. Why not start calling some rental ads or search online for rentals? Craigslist always has a good rental inventory.

You never have to give your credit card information for the inquiry you had mentioned in your question. There are a lot of scam artists out there. Just be careful.

Agree with the answers from other folks. Finding a buyer's agent that has experience in Hayward is the key thing. I'd highly recommend you talk to a couple to compare and see how much they will work for you. Start by emailing some of the folks here, or going to our site and having multiple agents compete for your business.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

There are currently 3 listings on the local multiple listing service for Hayward, Ca. homes under $200,000. Two 1 bedroom, 1 bath condos and one 2 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse. The townhouse is a contingent listing that is awaiting court confirmation so is not really available.

So…two under 200.

Natalie Geary answered:
I live in Prominance, across from Bailey Ranch and down the street from Stonebrae. We chose this neighborhood because all of the homes have landscaped garden, diverse demographics, retired people which is good for preventing burglaries, and we found a gorgeous home. Bailey Ranch has many homes with unfinished gardens and the curb appeal is shabby to me. Also a lot of contentious arguments (per a friend who lives there). Also, they get a lot of burglaries over there for some reason. Stonebrae has nice homes on small lots; it is all in what you want I guess. This is not landfill. I played on this land as a child. It was rolling hills and we rode horses and mini bikes and walked/ran all over this area. Some hills have been flattened, but I don;/t believe that land fill is part of either neighborhood. It is nice up here, fresh air, quiet, peaceful, and safe. Hope this helps. ... more
