Check a website called Home Facts. It gives info on crime, etc. Some areas of San Marcos are downright dangerous, others are vey safe.

Are you looking for a place to rent, or purchase?

It's 6 mi., just 11 min. drive from Bobcat Stadium. I live on acreage property close to the listing at 3000 Hilliard Rd., so know the neighborhood. I'll be previewing this listing tomorrow because I may be showing it to a couple of Buyers in the next week. However, I'd be happy to set up a showing appointment for you at your earliest convenience. Looks like an excellent place to hang out while attending TX State, but don't expect any buses to come rolling by your front door for pick-up! All the best, and if you like, call me for a showing at (512) 914-8191 ..(TX licensed real estate agent working with Black Dog Real Estate in San Marcos.) or email me at: ... more

Looks like a fixer upper. Needs a lot of work. If they intended on making repairs they would have done so before listing. This property is being sold as is and as Regan mentioned they are only accepting cash offers as there are really no lenders who would finance this property in its current condition.

Post Oak neighborhood in Kyle has a community pool. This was our 1st summer here and found it to be under-utilized by many in the neighborhood, i.e. it was never full of people. Although we could use more lounge chairs. ... more

Award winning all around and one of the reasons people move here. Consistently rated extremely well in TX for AP in high school; Exemplary schools except for one elementary school that was "Recognized". Rated 7th in TX overall last year when considering extracurriculars and academics for its size. 4A for UIL. Football played several games in playoffs 2011 but where DSISD does especially well is swimming, soccer, volleyball, girl's softball, and academic UIL competitions and awards.
