Flagler Estates is a high crime area. I have been robbed twice within 1 year. First my A/C unit, then the water pump. If buying here fence your driveway and dont leave it empty

I was just in this area last week looking at rental homes and the place is fantastic. I would suggest living in St. Johns County and not jacksonville (DUVAL County). Ponte Vedra is very nice but very pricy. Look at Julington Creek Plantation or World Golf Villiage or Nocatee Developments. They are beautiful. Crime is non existent. ... more

Hello Mommolre,
You might also wish to consider a modular home. This is a home where the structure is partially pre-built off-site and trucked to the property to be completed on the property. It used to be that people perceived these homes to be "lower in quality" but nowadays modular homes have to go through rigourous inpsections so many of them are sometimes built better than a custom home.
Check the internet for some companies that construct modular homes.
I hope this is helpful.
Good luck!

Dear Sadie,

Did you already pay for an appraisal? Are you sure you can qualify to get the mortgage?

Are you getting a USDA mortgage with 100% financing? I've heard there are no funds available right now for those mortgages.

Call your Realtor and the lender you chose (or was it your realtor that recommended the mortgage company) and get to the bottom of why the closing has been delayed 5 times. You may lose the opportunity to buy that property if you cannot get it closed on time.

Good luck!
