From a legal standpoint, if the adjustable shelving is affixed the property and you plan to remove, you will need to disclose that in your sale listing.
Does the adjustable shelving provide significant personal meaning? By removing the shelving would it devalue the closet or other area it is located in? If it isn't of personal value and could potential take away from the closet or area it is in, I would suggest leaving it.
