THE SCHOOL SYSTEMS IN THE BLUE HILLS AREA ARE OUTSTANDING!! BEING BORN AND RAISED IN THE BLUE HILLS AREA I CAN SPEAK FROM A PERSONAL STANDPOINT! THERE IS HARDLY ANY CRIME AT ALL OF COURSE ONCE IN A WHILE YOU MAY SEE SOMETHING ON THE NEWS BUT THATS THE SAME AS ANY AREA AND AS FOR THE SCHOOLS SYSTEMS THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GOOD BUT THESE DAYS THEY ARE TERRIFIC!! MY CHILD ATTENDED JUMOKE ACADEMY ELEMENTARY (WHICH IS ON BLUE HILLS) SINCE KINDERGARTEN AND RECENTLY GRADUATED TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL (ALSO ON BLUE HILLS) WHICH IS CALLED "JAH SMART" WHICH STANDS FOR JUMOKE ACADEMY HONORS. AFTER MIDDLE SCHOOL SHE WANTS TO ATTEND ACHIEVEMENT FIRST HIGH SCHOOL THAT IS LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF BLUE HILLS AND ALBANY AVENUE WHICH IS A NEW YET HIGHLY RESPECTED PROGRAM IN THE HARTFORD AREA FOR ALL AGES. This home is located on a public street. Nepaug street is on the edge of Newington and about 6 blocks from West Hartford's town line.

By way of explanation, Realtors are ethically bound not to "steer" people from or to any town. That's why you won't see a straight answer here (from a Realtor, anyway).

Having said that, I've researched a few of the web sites for user-friendliness, etc. I can recommend www.city-date.com and www.bestplaces.net/crime

I hope this helpful! If I can provide further assistance, please feel free to contact me. I sell homes in the Greater Hartford area and would be glad to work with you to find the best home for your needs.

Hello Kem,

There have not been any closed transactions in the Goodwin Estate in the past 6 months, so a true price per square foot number is not available.

There is one unit currently under contract, though we don't yet know the final sales price. The asking price was $422,000 for 2,338 sqft, so that's about $180/sqft.

Of the five current listing, the price per square foot varies widely, from a high of $294/sqft to a low of $154/sqft.

Please let me know if you have other questions, I live in the West End and am happy to help in any way I can.

Best regards,
Kyle
