Hi Pattycake! Currently there are two active listings in that neighborhood in the local MLS system. One is at 146 Seven Creeks and the other is 124 Creekview. The list prices range from $144,900 to $169,900, and square footage from 1400-1800. Both of these homes are ranches, which means everything will be on one level, but the lots are large: right around an acre. Let me know if I can give you any more information. I live in Stokesdale myself and can tell you it is convenient to shopping and parks! ... more

Research both areas, and decide which works better for you. That includes housing affordability, quality of life, neighborhood selection, quality of schools (if that's a factor), proximity to whatever's important to you (shopping, employment, vacation amenities, etc.), and so on. Judging from the answers below, they're both good area--nothing you should immediately eliminate from consideration. So, don't get rushed into anything; don't get pressured by friends. Do you own due dilligence. Find out what's best for you.

Good luck.

I am a real estate broker in Greensboro and I have lived in northwest Greensboro for over 25 years. I raised all three of my children in Guilford County schools and was a very active volunteer in the school system as well as in the community with children's activities. The northwest part of the city around Friendly Shopping Center is the most convenient area in town and the schools here are very popular. My children went to Sternberger Elementary, Kiser Middle, and Grimsley High. As someone else mentioned, if you view the school website, you will find statistics which will show those schools as having some of the best scores in the county. They all enjoy excellent parent participation, and I wouldn't have had my children anywhere else! I am also very familiar with the preschools and other children's activities in this area. I will be happy to help you find a house for your family if you want to contact me!
Thanks!
