Hi Joseph! I hope by now you have made the move, found your house and are happily living in Longview! However, for others who may be reading this with the same question, I want to weigh in on it. It's actually a VERY GOOD question - and many potential buyers get the 'cart before the horse' by looking at houses before securing a preapproval from a lender. Any good lender will be able to look at your basic application and advise you on the most advantageous financing route to take. They will also talk with you to determine what your financial goals are, as you may qualify for more home than you really want. Find a Realtor! Many buyers don't realize it costs you nothing to have the help of a professional Realtor, as we are paid by seller's commission, at least here in East Texas. Your Realtor and your lender will work together to help you with every phase and detail of finding the right house to owning it!
Best of luck to you and thanks for asking a good question!
