We work with scores as low as 600 of FHA and VA. If you have low scores is due to lot of bad credit or lack of credit. Are they a bunch of little collections or big collections. Down payment is going to be your next big factor. The other answers you received are good answers too. Just make sure you get everything in writing when the time comes. ... more

In regards to the possible exemptions on property taxes, yes, there may be, but like previously mentioned, to get the poverty exemption you would need to apply for that at the right time of the year. That is often more difficult than one would figure because to qualify, you would typically need to be under the poverty income bracket, and most people on SSDI are above that minimum.

The income limit to be considered in the Federal poverty income bracket for 2012-2013 for a one person household is $11,170, and for a 2 person household you would need to be under $15,130 for any of the 48 contiguous states.
