To clarify, this isn't a rental property. It's a single-family home. The seller's agent happened to mention that a "family member" was living there.
I understand the need to protect tenant rights. It just seems that it would make sense for a seller disclosure of any lease agreements to be part of any purchase agreement. Any seller could be renting their home out and even their agent might not know.
