I am a preferred REALTOR for a program that buys the house of your choice and leases it to you until you can get a mortgage for it. Home must be in top 50% of schools and buyer must meet income, background, and rental history requirements. I would be glad to discuss in further detail. ... more

Hi There

As a former landlord, I would say from experience some Landlords may have had bad experiences with the program and may opt out. Also, at this time, there is a very active and busy Real Estate market now with shortages of homes for purchase and for lease.

Landlords can often times today get any fair amount of rent they desire because of high demand low supply.

Good luck. Credit is key and I would say continue working towards that goal and getting into the Home Ownership program as well.

Good Luck.

Kenneth is correct! The main thing to remember is to pick ONE Realtor to work with. Many times Prospective Renters talk to multiple agents that may appear on a FOR RENT/FOR LEASE sign in front of a home they may like.

What they may not realize is that any agent can show them any home listed on the Multiple Service Listing that is FOR RENT/LEASE! Therefore, once you pick an agent, stick with them until you find the home of your choice!

Thanks and Best of Luck.

Tammie,

All houses are for rent by owner... some of the owners just choose to use a real estate agent to make sure that the paperwork is legal and that their tenants are properly screened with background and credit checks.

The landlords will have someone looking out for their best interests. Do you? You should. Hiring a real estate agent to get you into a rental property does not cost you a penny.

If you are looking for someone to help you find a home and represent your best interests during the leasing process, please feel free to give me a call.

Hi Ms. Wesley-

That's a good question! You should work directly with an agent who can help you learn more about that specific property (and probably will know a lot about similar properties in the area). To find an agent, just click on the yellow button on the property's Trulia listing and you will be able to start a dialogue.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help with anything else. I am happy to be a resource for you. Good luck with the search!

Best,
Ali, Trulia Voices Community Manager

This area is surrounded by housing of all types. The local airport is just south of Interstate-20 (I-20) and west of Texas 360 (SH-360).

There are many houses in the surrounding area you would find nice, even as far as Grand Prairie or further south of the area.

Please check out the rentals available using the link below. Click on Arlington or Grand Prairie (maybe Mansfield, too) and let me know if we can help you.

Cheers
