Buyer BEWARE! We purchased and installed two rooms of the Morning Star Bamboo flooring this past fall. It was touted as being the hardest flooring available and care free...Ours is cupping in both rooms and scratches abound as well. LL refuses to come look and have only sent a letter stating we must have done something wrong or have a water leak in our foundation. LL does not stand behind their product. We don't have any water pipes in our foundation (mani-block system). We don't have humidity issues since we have a Lennox A/C-heater system that maintains it at 40% typically year round.

We used their products to place it down. It was easy to do and it looked nice for about 6 weeks...We use the cleaning products and process they told us to follow as well. Our home has never had any water or moisture concerns, though simply looking at pictures we sent to them, they say we do.

We liked the green aspects, but have wasted $4K doing it...

Bamboo is a great renewable resource, unfortunately it isn't a wood, it's a grass. And so it is much softer than usual wood floors and dents or chips very easily. The Strand bamboo is almost twice as hard as oak-a wood known for it's durability. I would recommend it over Lumber Liquidators other bamboo floors because you get a renewable resource as well as a very durable floor product. I can't speak on their installation however. Hope this helps!

I like bamboo flooring. People had different experiences with Strand bamboo from Lumber Liquidators. Some love it, some had an issue with fumes after installation. Here is the thread of misc. feedback you might find useful: http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/bamboo/msg0516034526…

Bamboo itself is a great renewable source and makes a fantastic flooring! You may want to inquire about how a particular brand is made. Sometimes it's what is being added to flooring product to keep the shape is what may cause some fumes...

Good luck!

I do not have an opinion on the materials you mentioned. However, clients of mine have been happy with lumber liquidator's installation, which has typically been the best bid as well.
