I'm an RE agent and I must disagree with Skye. So many times people lump all Realtor's into one category - they all think you can't sell your property yourself -- this is so wrong. Stop painting with such a broad brush! Just because you may have had a bad experience with an agent doesn't mean they are all bad or greedy or whatever.

I think it's VERY possible for someone to be successful selling their home themselves. There is a plethora of information on the Internet about FSBO and it certainly isn't rocket science.

Just be informed, be prepared and treat it as a business transaction.

Of the 16 sub-HOAs in The Islands master HOA, 4 or 5 of them have community pools limited to the used of the sub-HOA homeowners.
The Elliot Shores HOA has a dual pool (largest one in The Islands community to my knowledge) along with a large spa / hot tub, and a well maintained clubhouse, as well as changing rooms. ... more

Am I missing something? The house looks gorgeous in the pictures. The only pink and purple I see are with a couple of furnishings that normally would not convey with the property. So if you can look past those little items, I think the house looks great. (I am in no way affiliated with the listing agent or the property.)

The home you referenced was sold back in January. Your question is a little vague, but if you are looking for a Gilbert property similar to the one on Harvard, click the link below.

If this does not meet your needs, we can run a search based on a number of criteria for you, and help you find the right home to fit your needs. Just let us know if we can be of any assistance. We have been selling real estate in the East Valley for about 20 years, and are here to work for you.

Ron is 100% right, Realtors are not allowed by law to designate an area as good or bad. A good agent, like Ron, will tell you that. A bad agent, like many ohers here in Trulia and many other sites, will try to steer you towards the area they prefer to work.

I am currently not an agent and can tell you that Gilbert in general is a very good area. Other very good areas are Chandler and Ahwatukee. Parts or Tempe, Mesa and other valley cities are also good. In generel you want to stay away from most of the west valley and most of south Phoenix.

In real estate, everything is negotiable. Banks will sell basically "AS IS", however, depending on the buyer, buyer's financing, cash buyer, etc., the seller may or may not fix it. It will depend on each separate property, the parties involved, etc. All the best! ... more

I would really appreciate some help finding the best place to invest in a couple SFHs and or condos for a long term investment. I´d be more than grateful to get some straight talk about where to invest in the valley. I´m a former resident but am presently working with the US Navy in Spain, but still want to get something bought before prices get ridiculous again. I would be more than happy to give you a call whenever it´s convenient. I´ve got two loan pre-quals and want to get buying. ... more

Ask yourself please what kind of people and culture you want to live around. I am also from LA and have been in Gilbert 3 years. Worse move I ever made and now I'm stuck in my house. The culture here is VERY different from CA. I cannot stress enough that if you come here please rent and see if it's for you. Once you buy you are probably stuck because the market here is horrible. Yes, cheap homes, but nobody wants them so you will own it for the foreseeable future. I'm not trying to scare you, I just think it's a big move and I wish someone had warned me. I wish you the best of luck. ... more
