The best thing to do now is STOP LOOKING!! You need to work on your credit scores until April. Get your scores to 620 or higher. You will find it much easier to buy and have more options once your credit scores are above 620. Try to get it to 680. You have until April. It can be done. Motivate yourself.

Another thing to do is save money - as much as you can. The more cash you have available = a bigger down payment + cash to pay for closing costs. Again, more options for you to buy.

If you intend to rent, landlords don't advertise rentals until a month before the tenant moves out.
