What we would refer to as "Downtown St. George" was laid out in the traditional grid system back in the 1800's, just like SLC. This area is the valley in between the Red Hill to the North, East Ridge to East, "Black Hill" to West, and Virgin River/1-15 to South. I haven't paid attention to what side #'s are on...I will today!

Actually, now that I think about it, no. Odds are on the North and East Sides in St. George proper. Other areas are different though. Bloomington doesn't even use the grid system.
