If you have never tried it, VRBO.com is a great place to find rentals, at prices often below what Management companies will charge. Also, GulfCoastRentals.com is another one that property owners use to advertise their rentals for "snowbirds"--try it and see how it works for you--prices are often also negotiable, because you are dealing directly with the owner.

Hi Roger:

The best bet for you might be either to look for the rental section in Craigslist, or on your newspaper.

Some Realtors will list rentals on Multiple Listing; those you will have to ask a Realtor. Also, for such a short term, (I assume you want to rent a house for January and February), you might want to go to a Realtor and see if they can find a house that has been on the market for a long time and the owner might not mind renting it out for short term purposes.

For those, you will need to be willing to keep the house in nice showing condition and be willing to show the house with minimum notice.

Good luck,
Sylvia

Hi Roger.....no rentals here on Trulia. You may want to find craigslist or yahoo rentals. Good luck.
