Sales tax in Haywood County is 7% broken down as follows: NC state tax: 4.75% and Haywood County tax 2.25%.

I think the question was regarding sales tax. In Haywood County/Waynesville, they are 7,75 - 8%, depending on what you are buying.

City and County taxes in maggie Valley are close to .93 per $100.

Taxes are very reasonable in Haywood County. A 100k house outside of the city limits would be about 800 in taxes. If you live in the city limits, it would be about double.
